Matt has over 15 years’ experience in investment management and financial analysis at highly reputable private equity firms and universities in the United States and over 5 years' experience as an independent investor.

At Madison Dearborn Partners, he managed the global funds flow of US$ billions in private equity investments across dozens of global banking institutions.

As a result, Matt understands how private equity and venture capital firms operate, including due diligence efforts on prospective mergers and acquisitions (M&A) as well as strategies for generating return on investment (ROI) for some of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and high net worth individuals.

At Northwestern University, Matt devised financial strategies and led university-wide initiatives from the central budget office.

At Stanford University, Matt directly managed financial planning for the internationally renowned Stanford School of Engineering, while learning about the Stanford approach to innovation, entrepreneurism, and startup culture. 

Matt’s experience at Stanford University led him to develop a vision for his own company. After much iteration and planning, Matt is proud and excited to develop his startup venture in the vibrant, innovative hub city of Fukuoka, Japan.
